I am a Colorado native but have lived in several places all over the U.S. before returning to my roots in western Colorado. I am a small-town girl raised in Montrose in a traditional family with conservative values. This has definitely shaped who I am and what I value in my adult life. I love the Grand Valley because it has that small-town atmosphere with conservative values. I went to college right here at CMU, but it was known just as Mesa College way back then. I am a “boymom” of two sons, ages 17 and 21. I also have one dog and three cats, and I intend to be a crazy cat lady in my old age! In my time off I enjoy reading and playing the piano.
I love the customer service side of insurance! I have found I get great satisfaction knowing that I am helping people in their time of need; when they have claim, or even just helping them understand what coverage they have. I stand for “doing right” because it is the right thing to do…no matter who is watching or not. I would like every State Farm customer to feel that we have listened to them and have given them the most appropriate insurance product and customer service.
I value helping in the community as well. Prior to the COVID shutdowns, my church had a ministry in a local nursing home that I was part of. It was wonderful to reach out to people who weren’t able to get out and go to church.

Hello, and welcome to Sean Steimel State Farm! I am a 2nd generation CO native growing up in Castle Rock and Parker. I lived on the Front Range for 40 years and now in Montrose going on 7 years. I love all of the year round outdoor amenities in the area, and the views of the San Juan’s can’t be beat! I believe that the most important things that defines me is my faith and kindness to others. I had a decent childhood and have a loving family. I have dedicated most of my life to become the optimal version of me I can be through the trials and successes of my life. I am always interested in feedback from others to help shape my character into a better me.
You could say I have been in insurance my entire life, as my dad was a State Farm agent. I have also worked in insurance for the last 30 years. I am a big fan of life insurance and enjoy figuring out how to help our customers in the most effective way. I want my insurance customers to feel heard, understood, valued and informed. No matter how small their needs may seem, I want them to know that they are important to me. I am here to answer all of your auto, renters, home, and life insurance questions.
